CRIME AND SAFETY

As a former member of the NYPD, Sammy is well aware of the fact that local law enforcement knows how to keep our city safe. Over the past 25 years, New York City went from becoming a near war zone to the safest large city in the nation. The anti-police policies set forth by Mayor Bill DeBlasio and the city council have us heading back to the 1980s and ’90s. Defunding the Police without a proper vision and planning is hurting the most vulnerable communities. Sammy believes in reasonable reforms and fully funding our police, in expanded training, and in using all available technologies, so that we may return to the days in which our citizens enjoy walking around the safe test cand the greatest Borough in New York.
